Grace Freewill Baptist Church Camp Meeting 2011

Grace Freewill Baptist Church- Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Oh My!!!…. I dont really know how to begin…. there is really no good stopping point if I was to begin and tell you all the blessing from God I received at this camp meeting.  God was there and moving in a mighty way and  certainly speaking to my heart personally.  There were great men of God preaching His Word in boldness and standing for the Old Paths and  the Old Fashioned Way!  We were blessed to hear five men of God preach…Pastor Lonny Burks, Pastor Dale Kester, Evangelist Dr. Maury Gibson, Evangelist John Williams and Pastor Brent Hutsell.  Pastor Burks brought a convictiong message on…”is your all on the altar?”….and maybe the reason we are not seeing more “fire fall” or God move is due to the fact that we have nothing upon the altar.  He said that the number one objective is to keep ourselves on the altar…keep it ALL there, consecrated to God.  Pastor Kester asked the question…” how are you doing?”…..are you really doing okay…gave the warning not to be like the Laodocien church who thought they had need of nothing and yet they had one very fatal problem…..Jesus was on the outside of that church…for it says, He stands at the door and knocks….what a sober thought.  Dr. Gibson  challenged us to be men and women of God that this generation desperately needs to see….he said we need  a man of God with a message from God that will take a stand for God….He warned that there was a generation of the “men of God” and then there was the generation of men that knew the “men of God” and he said that we must become those men and women of God now or we will have a generation that “knows not God.”  Brother Williams asked the question….”what is church to you?”  “what have you made it?”…..He said God’s House is not ours to mess with and change around as we please….it is God’s House and we have no right making it what fits us or suits our fancy.  It is to be a place of prayer, power, praise, where you are purified and hear a piece of God’s mind.  Pastor Brent Hutsell reminded us from the story in Haggai and the children of Israel loathing to rebuild the temple, that even though the present world and conditions may not be the easiest and best to labor in…..we must press on for the Lord and if we desire revival we must…consider our ways…are we doing and being what we are to be?……Climb the mountain and remember God’s great love for you and don’t ever get over the wonder of what He has done for you……and go cut the wood….get over yourself and go work for God….building a church is more then “wood” or a “building” it is reaching souls for Jesus…that is the “wood.”  He said this…” People care less about what you know until they find out how much you care”……we must love souls as Jesus.  Truly there was just a treaure chest full of gems from God’s Word this past week!!!….I have lots of pics to share with you  and tell you a little about our great fellowship with lots of sweet and wonderful people!…….

Southern Raised with Pastor Mike and Mrs. Brenda Hutsell....He is Pastor of Grace Freewill Baptist

Pastor and Mrs. Hutsell were such absolutely lovely people!  They were so kind, loving and hospitable to our family.  I so enjoyed getting to be around them and know them better.  They first heard us at Pastor Lonny Burks camp meeting at Oak Lane Freewill Baptist in Harrison, Arkansas.  We have seen them the last two years there but always just a brief visit….so it was a joy to fellwoship more.   They truly are a blessing and the camp they host there is tremendous!

Southern Raised with pastors and friends

Here is a pic with some precious folks that we enjoyed fellowshipping with around a campfire on Sunday and Monday nights.  There was a couple who were very hospitable  and built a campfire in the evening after the service and had hot dogs and marshmallows to roast and lots of good stories!  Being around that campfire and listening to stories  and that time of fellowship was probably a highlight memory for me!  …………………………………………………..

So Many Sweet Friends

The really neat thing is that many of the folks we saw here, we have seen at Oak Lane Camp Meeting as well and will see them there again next spring, Lord willing.:)……I look forward to that.  So Sunday and Monday nights like I said we gathered around the campfire……my!  Pastor Lonny and Sister Connie Burks have some of the best and funniest stories you ever did hear!!!  Seriously some great memories around that fire!  On Monday night the couple that was hosting everyone around the fire, brought out their “hillbilly golf” set!  There was a young man there named Curtis that played hillbilly golf with us that evening.  I wish I had a pic of us all playing but I failed to do that…Emmie, Matthew, Curtis and I all played several games…and that was quite a fun and memorable time!  Now……let me say up front that I was not a great asset to MY team BUT as far as the OTHER team goes……I was their best player!!!!:)……but I certainly did have fun:)

Southern Raised with Little Noah Hutsell....so cute!:)

Pastor Hutsell’s son and daughter- in- law, Pastor Jason and Hannah Hutsell came to Oak Lane last spring and we had the pleasure of meeting them.  They also have an adorable little boy that we got to meet and were quite taken with his sweet and outgoing personality!:)  We got to see them this last week at Grace Camp Meeting and wanted to share some pics of us and Noah!  Last spring Noah was quite taken with my “big tar-tar” …”big guitar”:):)  and his parents said that the other day he had a 2×4 and was playing it like a bass!
