When we arrived for the sound set up and check, the temps were very warm!  Thankfully it cooled off for the evening concert!:)

Here is our vocal check.  I really loved how patriotic the stage looked!

We played the Military Medley for all of our military and veterans.  It always blesses me to see our military stand when their branch is called.  We had two gentleman come up to us and thank us for remembering them.  I am so grateful we can remember and honor brave men and women!…………………………

Rockets Red Glare

We sang the National Anthem during a pause in  the fireworks.  Towards the end of the song the fireworks started again giving a patriotic soar to the evening!!!  It was amazing to be singing such powerful lyrics as ” The Star Spangled Banner” with the “Bombs bursting in air and the rockets red glare!

John Adams, the 2nd president of the United States caught the spirit that should ignite across America on this day.

“I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shows, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”- John Adams
